Media Release - October 18, 2024   Media Release October 18, 2024   Failure to Comply A 47-year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged with failure or refuse to comply with a demand, after he was stopped by police for speeding through a school zone. On October 16th, 2024, an officer on speed enforcement near Beatrice Strong School, captured a truck driving 20km/h over the posted speed limit. The officer initiated a traffic stop and noticed the driver was showing signs of impairment. The male refused multiple times to provide a breath sample. He was ultimately charged with Failure or refuse to comply
